Magnum launches 2 new vegan ice creams in Sweden and Finland

All the flavor of classic ice cream but in a vegan version. This is what the Magnum brand promises, launching two new flavors for those who have embraced a veg diet. Starting in September, they will be sold in Sweden and Finland and hopefully worldwide later on.

Two new flavors, Magnum Vegan Classic and Magnum Vegan Almond approved by the European Vegetarian Union as suitable for vegans, as reported by MTV Finland, the site that first broke the news.

The two vegan ice creams will also be certified by the Rainforest Alliance that grow cocoa beans sustainably and will be available in both single and four packs. The new versions will therefore contain no dairy products and will be based on pea proteins and vegan chocolate. However, it will not be suitable for lactose intolerant people due to the possible presence of traces of milk in it.

The Magnum saw the light back in 1989 and since 1992 it has been on the world market with numerous flavors. Originally developed in Belgium, the brand was even ranked as the number one ice cream in the world by Forbes in 2016.

According to the 2017 Eurispes Report, in your country the number of people who switched to a completely plant-based diet has tripled in just one year, which means that 800 million people have abandoned animal products and their derivatives. The vegan industry is booming and today it is not so rare to find products suitable for everyone.

The hope is that these two versions will also arrive in your country, for now there is no news on them but we hope that the launch in Sweden and Finland is just a pilot. In the meantime you can prepare one at home, read here:
