Towards personal liberation

Last update: February 20, 2015

There comes a time in life when it is important to come out. And we are not talking about sexual identity, but about human identity. For sure if we look within we will find some aspects that we pretend on every day. We just have to open the door behind which we hide and go out to freedom, to be ourselves.

Coming out into the open is an act of personal liberation, through which a person affirms and claims the absolute truth of who he is. It is an act of acceptance, forgiveness and gratitude for the gift of our life and the value of living it sincerely and freely.

What doors can we open?

These are some of the most common ports:

Door of self-judgment

Being prisoners of the belief that they are inferior and incapable. It is a defeat or giving up before it even begins, which causes health problems such as heart disease, insomnia, eating disorders or weight gain. Only you can decide which direction to follow in your life

Door of being unworthy

Believing that we don't deserve to be in a love affair or achieve success in what we're really passionate about. This causes a limitation, which can involve money, creating toxic relationships, isolation or depression.

Door of fear and distrust

Life is full of betrayals. Perhaps you are locked behind this door to protect yourself from what you think you are, because you are afraid and full of mistrust.

Door of shame

This door is the most difficult of all, because it is often double-locked. Probably at some point in the past you have done something that violated the sense of good and evil, and of which you are ashamed. But you should be able to forgive yourself, the past is past.

Door of arrogance

Arrogance hides a deep feeling of inferiority and insecurity. Often behind an arrogant person there is someone who feels unfortunate and inferior to others.

The path to liberation

La personal liberation it is the freedom of complicity, adjustment and adaptation: it is the freedom to examine every thought and action, to understand where they originate from. Ideas that have contributed to making everyone be as they are, for example because of social structures or culture, which limit what can and cannot be done.

This path will make you want to tell the truth, to show love, to question authority, even when it will not be easy. In this way, personal freedom allows you to raise your voice against the social order, work to transform it, and make decisions that can lead to consequences that will last a lifetime.

The conception of an adult adapted to society corresponds to the ideal of normality, someone able to function within the limits of the world as it is. But that's not an easy goal to achieve, and neither is changing the way we live. Those who have dedicated their lives to changing the world, therefore, could not be considered well-adapted people.
