Remember to live, laugh and love like children

Last update: January 11, 2016

Many are convinced that adulthood involves living a life full of responsibility, anxiety and doubt. Perhaps that is why it is so easy to find adults who at the age of 40 try to live like their children. Still others are so full of doubts and regrets that they would rather leave it all behind and run away.

If you too are looking into this phase of life, it's time to take children as an example. They live, laugh and love so naturally that it seems that there is no evil in life.

Rediscover what makes you shine

Children are like a sun capable of illuminating everything in its path; they have no idea what worries about the future are or what it means to take responsibility.

They are not ashamed if they make a mistake, and they have no problem expressing their feelings; if they fall, they are always ready to get up and start over.

All these are characteristics that you will have to keep in mind in order to return to live, laugh and love as children. You will have to allow yourself time every day to discover the smallest things and get excited with them.

There is no magic recipe for forgetting worries. You will need to allow yourself to see reality from a perspective full of enthusiasm and positivity.

How do you live, laugh and love like children?

1. Laugh as often as you get the chance

There is no need to spend time making silly jokes or making fun of others. That's not how it works. It is rather about develop a sense of humor that makes you happy.

2. Trust your superpowers

Do you think you have no powers? We challenge you to find five things that you do well. Of course there is no mention of amazing skills:

  • Are you able to alleviate the problems of others with your jokes?
  • Are you able to make delicious pasta?

These are just two examples, but you can find many others. A superpower is what makes you unique.

3.Say!

Children don't waste their time wondering "Will I be able to do that?" or "Do I have the skills to ...?". Children just do things. Unfortunately, adults often forget the importance of always discovering new things.

When was the last time you did something that made you feel insecure? It can be a simple date as well as a parachute jump. Throw yourself into something different!

-Robert Allen-

4. Go out with your friends

Have you ever noticed that children are always surrounded by other children? This makes them happy, as they can share the good and bad times. These are the moments that represent our greatest treasure: the memory of the best moments of life.

After all, what good are material things and successes at work if there is no one to share these joys with?

5. Be rebellious

Most likely you are about to say that you don't have time or that you are overwhelmed with obligations and duties. Don't worry, there is no need to give up work to embark on an adventure around the world (all this is possible, even if it is not easy).

Being rebellious means not conforming.

Have you fallen into the monotony of the status quo? What are you doing there? Follow your dreams!

Children are always looking for new opportunities. A new game, new friends… they are not labeled, and this allows them to be themselves and develop as people.

“We are here to leave a mark on the universe. Otherwise why would we be here? "

-Steve Jobs-

6. Embrace those you love

If you have children or have other opportunities to spend time with children, you surely know that they like to hug others for no apparent reason. In reality, the reason exists: it is a simple desire to do so.

This is their way of showing their love, and they enjoy the moment laughing. That's what life is all about.

Don't be afraid that people take it badly that you hug them. If this is your first time doing this, it may seem strange, but soon they will feel so comfortable that they will make this practice a part of their own life.

So? Are you ready to live, laugh and love like children? Don't let the routine silence the child in you. It doesn't matter if you are 20 or 60, each of you has the skills to revive him and allow him to fully enjoy life.

Just do it!
