Get rid of all unnecessary burdens and gain altitude

What is holding you back? What prevents you from gaining altitude and starting to fly? A relationship that doesn't work, a job you don't like, a friend who despises you. Imagine traveling in a hot air balloon and starting to get rid of the ballast, starting to get rid of everything that is holding you back. Remember: you only have one life to fly.

If someone cuts your wings off and won't let you live the life you want, what are you waiting for to let them go? If you have a job that doesn't make you happy, no matter how difficult it is, why not start looking for a job that excites you? You are the architects of your life, you create and shape it, you are the person who rules it.

"The only ones who get freedom are those who win it back every day"

-Goethe-

Sometimes selfishness is necessary and therapeutic

The word selfishness almost always denotes a negative connotation, because it is associated with someone who is not a good person, someone who acts only for his own interests and thinks only of himself, without worrying about others. Nevertheless, we can distinguish three types of selfishness:

Self-centered selfishness

Let's talk about the person who can talk only about himself, who does not make others talk, who does something only if it can benefit from it. People characterized by self-centered selfishness have eyes only for themselves and every time they speak they refer to them.

Conscious selfishness

It is about the healthy selfishness that it arises when we feel the need to say "no" to others. It is natural because it connects us with our essence, with what we really want, not with what others want for us.

Selfless selfishness

It manifests itself when we reach the ability to place our interests at the service of the common good of society. This means that we do good to the world and that makes us feel good. We do something we enjoy doing and, in addition, others benefit from it. It is not a question of charity or obligations. We simply do something good because it makes us happy.

So think about yourself, what you want, what you like. Look for someone who shares your fears and you will see how meeting people who understand and seek the same things you want will fill you with satisfaction.

Learn to say no when necessary. Sometimes we don't dare say no when asked for something and we find ourselves doing things we don't really want to do, or even living a life we don't want. Be happy by doing the things that make you happy and if you have to say no, say it. Get rid of everything that represents a limit to your dreams.

“Nothing and no one can make you happy. Only you can make yourself happy "

-Gerardo Schmedling-

Take off and take altitude

Sometimes we hold memories that hurt us and prevent us from seeing and enjoying the here and now. Let them go, let them abandon you, let them go. Say enough once and for all. Begin with forgiveness in order to move forward, and you will see that you will feel lighter, that your baggage of negative emotions will no longer be so heavy.

If you have a partner who constantly judges you, who questions your dreams, who dictates what they consider best for you, think about this relationship in all sincerity, think about what it brings to you, and make a decision. Sometimes, it's better to retire in time, no matter how bad it hurts, than to live a life full of dissatisfaction.

Sometimes, a relative or friend, even with the best of intentions, sets limits on what we want to do, judges us and condemns us. In these cases, it is better to move away a little, to adopt a different point of view, have our space and our time to decide, so that the decisions are ours. We can be wrong, once and a thousand times, but it doesn't matter, because they will be our mistakes and our way of learning.

And, of course, once you get rid of everything that prevents you from gaining altitude, spread your wings, smile and take flight to your dreams, feel the wind of your desires that ruffles your hair, feel the warmth of the sun on your face, feel how your feet move further and further away from the earth to reach what you have always wanted.

"The secret of happiness is freedom, and the secret of freedom is courage"

-Tucydides-
