Alternatively, it is possible prepare an infusion using half an avocado seed for each cup of water: in this case about 250 ml of water are brought to a boil with half an avocado seed; when the water boils, turn off the heat and leave to infuse for 10-15 minutes with the lid on, then remove the avocado seed and drink the hot infusion.


THEinfusion of avocado it is useful in case of gastrointestinal problems and diarrhea.

It seems that moderate consumption of avocado seed is able to reduce cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood, thus decreasing the risk of cardiovascular disease. Consuming avocado seed seems to have benefits also in case of diabetes, hypertension and inflammatory diseases.


Avocado seed has a slightly bitter taste and astringent given by the presence of tannins: it may not be appreciated by everyone and its consumption is not recommended in case of constipation.

Avocado: characteristics of the plant

The scientific name of the avocado is Persea americana and it is one plant now grown in various regions with a tropical climate.

The famous avocado oil is also obtained from the avocado fruit, which is used above all for beauty such as emollient ingredient, moisturizing and nourishing in cosmetics.

Less well known is the use of avocado seed in the kitchen, which, as we have seen, can be included in the diet to provide amino acids and phytosterols and give flavor to dishes.


It is not easy to find the seeds of this fruit on the market, so where to buy avocado seeds? Generally avocado seeds are bought by buying the fruit: after tasting the pulp, the seed can be used to get a new avocado plant or in the kitchen.
